• Within a cell: one term per line (the default Boolean is OR; no need to mark it).

• English synonyms — refine them yourself: (1) truncate word stems with *; (2) drop redundant terms (exercise already retrieves exercise therapy, so the latter isn't needed); (3) add proximity operators (see the loaded example, or tidy them in the Proximity Builder).

• Controlled vocabulary:

‧ To exclude narrower terms: mark it as non-exploded — 「不含狹義詞」, 「不狹」, noexp or no exp.

e.g. diabetes (不含狹義詞), diabetes (noexp)

‧ Supplementary concepts (drugs, chemicals, rare diseases outside the heading tree): use “Mark as supplementary concept” on the verification card, which appends (supplementary: chemical); PubMed searches it with [nm], Ovid MEDLINE with .nm. etc., and other databases get it as free text.

‧ The default Boolean within one cell is OR; for anything else, use AND and parentheses.
